Despite Chris McCausland taking home the Glitterball Trophy in a nail-biting finale on Saturday, Tasha Ghouri, 26, has been hailed as the 'real winner' of Strictly Come Dancing 2024. PR guru Kayley Cornelius predicts that Tasha will soon be inundated with media opportunities. Speaking to The Daily Star, Kayley said: "Tasha might just be the real winner of Strictly, thanks to her incredible marketability and ability to connect with a wide range of audiences.
Kayley also speculated that Tasha will host a dating show featuring individuals who use sign language and is expected to make an appearance on ITV's I'm A Celebrity, according to the publication. Following the Saturday night finale of Strictly Come Dancing, where comedian Chris, aged 47, and his partner Dianne Buswell, aged 35, triumphed to win the 2024 Glitterball Trophy, predictions are swirling that Tasha could be set for major success. Despite delivering stellar performances, including a Showdance to Benny Goodman's Sing, Sing, Sing and an American Smooth, both earning perfect scores from the judges, Tasha and her partner Aljaž Škorjanec couldn't clinch the title.
The judges were notably touched by Chris's heartfelt waltz to the Liverpool anthem You'll Never Walk Alone, as well as the couple's choice routine to John Lennon's Instant Karma. Despite the joyous group hugs and moving speeches that resonated with many viewers, there was a feeling among some that Tasha and Aljaž might have been more deserving of the glitterball trophy this year.
