An Adelaide judge finds Francois Joseph Ghassibe administered a 'flurry of blows' to his victim, culminating with a single kick to the chin, but finds him not guilty of murdering the 70-year-old.

The court heard the altercation between the pair started when Mr Richardson, known as Max, pulled up next to the taxi Ghassibe was travelling in and started abusing the taxi driver for suddenly pulling out in front of his car. Ghassibe then administered a "flurry of blows" to Mr Richardson, culminating with a single kick to the chin which caused him to fall backwards onto the ground.Justice Peek said upon kicking Mr Richardson, Ghassibe's mental state may have been heightened after the injury to his left eye, due to the fact he was legally blind in his right eye.
"I simply cannot accept her as an accurate historian of the tragic events of 1 April 2022," Justice Peek said.
