It's official: Taylor Swift has endorsed Kamala Harris for president on Tuesday, September 10, immediately following the presidential debate. On Instagram, the pop star shared a photo of herself holding her cat, Benjamin, from her Time magazine Person of the Year 2023 cover story, along with a lengthy caption outlining her plans to vote for Vice President Harris. “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election,” she wrote.
Democrats have anxiously awaited Swift's endorsement of Harris, which was expected but, of course, not guaranteed. There was some worry among Swift's more outspoken fans that she would be taking a moderate route this year, especially after one of her close friends, Brittany Mahomes, seemingly shared her support for former president Donald Trump.
