Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Shows In Austria Canceled Due To Government Confirmation Of A Planned Terrorist Attack— currently on the European leg of her Eras Tour — was scheduled to play three nights at Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna, Austria, kicking off tomorrow, August 8th.However, this morning news broke that two men were arrested in connection to a planned terrorist attack at Taylor's upcoming shows.
In a news conference, Vienna State Police Director Franz Ruf and Police Chief Gerhard Purstl revealed that Vienna State Police raided the home of one of the men, a 19-year-old from Ternitz who allegedly"chemical substances in his home, and investigators are actively determining if said substances could have been used to build a bomb.Initially, police confirmed that there were no plans to cancel the shows and that Taylor's performance would go on with increased security measures.
