Around four million people attempted to purchase tickets on Wednesday during the Frontier Touring presale and it is believed a similar number tried to get their hands on the coveted tickets today.Frontier Touring today advised fans that within an hour of the general sale opening at 10am, Sydney's Saturday show on February 24 was nearly sold out.
And just under two hours after the floodgates were open, Frontier Touring announced that allocation was all but exhausted.to Swift's stops on the tour, in a move designed to ease the unprecedented demand for tickets.Ticketek has not confirmed how many tickets were sold in the presales, or how many remain up for grabs.
A spokesperson for Virgin Australia confirmed that they had already recorded a huge spike in flights booked on the dates of Swift's concert. With the demand for Swift's tour setting an all-time record for Ticketek, they warned that there could be hundreds of thousands of disappointed fans.
