'[She's] not had the best of years...'
British star Charley Hull posted a nine-over 81 in the first round Team GB golfer Charley Hull failed to reach her ‘expected level’ with a poor performance at the Olympics Games on Wednesday, posting a nine-over 81. That first-round score put Great Britain’s Hull at the foot of the leaderboard at Le Golf National, in what was a shocking opening performance from the LPGA star.
It all started on the first tee after she knocked it into the water.’ Hull is adamant her disappointing performance had nothing to do with the fact she couldn’t smoke on the course, despite her comments ahead of the first round. Charley Hull says her poor round wasn’t due to the smoking ban ‘Definitely not,’ Hull said. ‘It’s because I’ve been injured . ‘I feel a bit rusty, because obviously, it’s been five weeks since I’ve last properly played a four-day event.
