The funeral of television presenter Jesse Baird took place in Melbourne on Tuesday, with mourners wearing bright colours in his honour.
Hundreds of heartbroken family and friends have gathered to farewell television presenter Jesse Baird, who was allegedly murdered alongside his partner Luke Davies in Sydney. The 26-year-old's funeral was held at Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre in South Morang, in Melbourne's north, on Tuesday morning. Mourners were asked to wear bright colours to the service in honour of Baird.
Baird grew up in nearby Diamond Creek where he played AFL to the senior level before umpiring the sport in the professional league for more than 60 matches. He graduated from Loyola College in Watsonia in 2015 before moving to Queensland and later Sydney to further his television presenting career. A service for Davies, who worked as a Qantas flight attendant, will be held in Queensland in April.
