The world of typing certainly isn't what it used to be - it flashes more for a start
I am only a recent convert to mechanical keyboarding, but now I am here - there's no way back to the past life. The main difference between a normal keyboard and a mechanical one is purely and simply the difference in feel on your fingers. The keys are just more responsive, more satisfying, and lead to an all-round better experience.
It's a crowded marketplace and I ditched my keyboard of choice to temporarily try the Trust Gaming GXT 866 Torix Mechanical Keyboard. This is fully customizable, from the keys to the lighting patterns and gives the user full control to set it up according to their own tastes. The RGB backlighting is very bold and flash, but can be adjusted if not to your liking.
I really liked that there was a detachable USB-A to USB-C charging cable to keep things tidy when not needed, and one of my favourite additions is the volume knob, which isn't a regular feature on a keyboard, but one I liked all the same.
