Contract type: Contract Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Scrum Master with a strong background in the banking industry, particularly in Data Competency, Compliance, and Risk. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience leading technical teams through Agile frameworks, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions in complex, regulated environments.
This role requires excellent communication skills, technical acumen, and an understanding of risk management and compliance standards in banking.Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies. Coach and guide teams on Agile/Scrum best practices. Ensure smooth collaboration among cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and stakeholders, driving continuous improvement. Collaborate with technical teams to identify challenges, remove impediments, and facilitate technical discussions. Oversee risk mitigation strategies within sprints, ensuring that compliance and regulatory requirements are integrated into development processes. Ensure teams are aligned on data governance, quality, and security measures, particularly in high-stakes banking environments. Act as the main point of contact for product owners, stakeholders, and management, keeping them informed of progress, risks, and any potential roadblocks.Encourage a culture of continuous improvement through retrospective feedback and by fostering a learning environment within the team. Maintain clear and accurate records of progress, blockers, and decisions throughout the sprint cycle.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, with a strong technical background. Experience working in the banking industry with exposure to data governance, compliance, and risk management. Agile Expertise: Proven experience in applying Agile methodologies to deliver complex software solutions.Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems .Technical Acumen: Knowledge of software development practices, cloud solutions, and data handling in the banking sector. Data Competency: Hands-on experience with data governance tools, data management frameworks, or related technologies in banking. Technical Certifications: Relevant technical certifications in cloud, software development, or data technologies. Banking Industry Standards: Familiarity with frameworks like Basel III, SOX compliance, or similar banking regulations.
