Man dies after being pulled from the sea in sixth heatwave death
A major rescue operation was launched by emergency services and the three were pulled from the water at Conwy Morfa beach.A total of ten heatwave deaths have been recorded so far as temperatures surge across the UK.July 17 - River Spey in Moray, ScotlandA 51-year-old man was recovered from the water by emergency services but he was pronounced dead at the scene.Emergency services were scrambled to reports of a 13-year-old boy who had come into trouble in a river near Ovingham, Northumbs.
One witness said paramedics performed CPR at the scene, but despite being rushed to hospital, the man could not be saved.A 50-year-old man tragically drowned while swimming in Ardsley Reservoir, West Yorks., on Saturday. Police said they were told a man had got into difficulty in the water at 5.30pm, adding his death is not being treated as suspicious.Rescuers were called at around 6.15pm after passers-by spotted a struggling swimmer.Emma Louise Powell, 24, drowned while paddleboarding with two pals at the North Wales beauty spot.Alfie McCraw, 16, from Wakefield, sadly passed away after drowning in a waterway in Wakefield.
