Teen who was found floating face down in sea and had no heartbeat for 40 minutes makes miracle recovery
A TEENAGER, 19, who was found floating face down in the icy Irish Sea and had no heartbeat for 40 MINUTES has made a "miracle" recovery.
Shelby, of Blackpool, has credited the heroic actions of lifeboat volunteers, paramedics, and Victoria Hospital medics after they brought her back from the brink of death on that fateful night, January 4.Lifeboatman Shaun Wright, 45, who took part in the dramatic rescue mission, said: "This was our first call of 2019 and at the time it was a horrible call-out."
I don’t remember that day at all. I just remember waking up in the hospital very confused. I think I said I had had a car crash.But Shelby astounded docs by coming round and, after six weeks of hospital treatment, was allowed home.
