Parishioners stopped a 16-year-old boy armed with a rifle as he tried to enter the back door of a church in Abbeville, Georgia.
A livestream of the First Communion at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church captured the moment a teen suspect tried to enter with a rifle A teenage boy armed with a rifle attempted to break into a church through the back door while a First Communion was being livestreamed. The 16-year-old suspect tried to enter St Mary Magdalen Church around 10.30am on Saturday, according to the Abbeville Police Department in Louisiana.
’ Parishioners confronted the suspect and escorted him outside, said the police department. No one was injured in the incident on Saturday Arriving police officers arrested the suspect and along with deputies from the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office made a sweep around the church to make sure there was no threat and confirmed that one was injured. The suspect was questioned at the police department headquarters with his parent present.
