A 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene
Police were alerted to the incident at South Metheven Street at around 8:40pm on Saturday, April 8 and a 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers confirmed an 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death and is due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Tuesday, April 11.Police Scotland say a 17-year-old man was also arrested but has now been released while they continue their enquiries into the incident. A spokesperson for the force said: "Around 9.40pm on Saturday, 8 April, 2023, we were called to a report of a man being seriously injured in South Methven Street, Perth.Top news stories today
"An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death. He is due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 11 April 2023."A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
