Thomas never thought he would ever go to University

A student who hated secondary school had no intentions of ever attending college but today he has received A-Level results which will allow him to attend University. Thomas Vivian-Robinson, 19, from West Derby never thought he would be in a position where he would be in further education but after a life-changing moment everything changed. In 2020 when Thomas was in year 11, he signed up to to join the Royal Marines and was successful in his application.

He said ''some things are meant to happen'' as he opened his A-Level results today. The teenager achieved an A in Biology, B in Chemistry and B in Geography. He added he was ''absolutely made up'' to have achieved the results as it ''means he can do what he wants to do.'' Thomas will now be heading to Cumbria University to study paramedic science before hopefully qualifying as a paramedic.
