Vermont State Police and Bristol police are investigating the shooting of a teenage boy outside a home. The incident is believed to be isolated and there is no threat to the general public.

Vermont State Police and Bristol police are investigating the shooting, which they said occurred around 7:20 p.m. outside a home on North Street near the intersection with Plan Road. Emergency responders found the boy critically injured and administered first aid before taking him by ambulance to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.The teenage victim's name has not been released pending the notification of family members.
