Peter Renaday, one of the original voice actors on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, has died aged 89.
The late actor has been hailed as ‘one of the most genuine people’ Renaday voiced the character of Master Splinter on the show, a mutant rat who acts as a sage to the titular Turtles. The news of the late actor’s death was shared on X by Townsend Coleman, who voiced the Turtle Michaelangelo on the comic book TV show. ‘Folks, I’m devastated this morning to learn of the passing yesterday of our dear sensei, Peter Renaday,’ Coleman wrote.

While a cause of death has not been determined, his death is reportedly being suspected as being due to natural causes.
