A 14-year-old girl is accused of stabbing three people at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman (Amman Valley School) in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, Wales, after being confronted about wearing non-uniform trousers. The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, allegedly lunged at assistant head teacher Fiona Elias with a knife, yelling 'I'm going to f***ing kill you'. She is also accused of stabbing another teacher, Liz Hopkin, and a student.
The 14-year-old has admitted wounding with intent but denied attempted murder. Fiona Elias described the girl as 'a bit immature in class' and had previously found a knife in her possession, leading to her suspension. The girl was subject to daily bag searches by her father after that incident, but on April 24, 2024, she left home before he could check. After arriving at school, Mrs Elias confronted the girl about her uniform. CCTV footage showed the girl standing outside the lower school hall talking to Mrs Elias and Ms Hopkin. During the confrontation, the girl pulled out a knife with a silver blade and stabbed Mrs Elias. Ms Hopkin restrained the girl, but the teenager broke free, retrieved the knife, and stabbed Ms Hopkin, leaving her with injuries to her back, neck, legs and arm. The girl also allegedly attacked another student before being restrained by staff. In the back of a police vehicle, the girl allegedly told officers 'I stabbed her – oopsies', as well as asking 'are they dead' and 'how am I going to face my family after what I've done?'. She also allegedly said: 'I’m pretty sure this is going to be on the news, so more eyes will be looking at me. That’s one way to be a celebrity'. At her home, officers found notes and drawings referencing Mrs Elias and the girl she attacked, including one note stating the girl will 'burn' and another saying 'cut their mouths and eyes'. A drawing was labelled 'Mrs Frogface Elias'
