BREAKING: Teenager, 17, charged with murder after man stabbed to death with screwdriver
A 17-year-old had been charged with the murder of Peter Duncan, 52, who was stabbed with a screwdriver in Newcastle on Wednesday, Northumbria Police said.Mr Duncan was taken to hospital, but died later as a result of his injuries.
Floral tributes with messages of condolance are left near Old Eldon Square shopping centre in Newcastle after solicitor Peter Duncan, 52, was stabbed to death with a screwdriver ‘He was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, uncle and friend and loved by all who knew him.‘His death will leave such a huge hole in our lives and he’ll be deeply missed by us all.’
Mr Duncan was a lawyer for multi-national maritime firm Royal IHC Limited, which has offices a short walk away from the scene of the stabbing.Northumbria Police Area Commander, Chief Superintendent Ged Noble, said: ‘This continues to be an extremely difficult time for the family and loved ones of Peter and we ask that their privacy is respected.
