A TEENAGER has been charged with murder after a young man was stabbed to death in a London street last week.
David Martinez, 26, became the 15th person killed by a knife in the capital this year after being attacked in Leyton on Wednesday.His death also became the 21st murder investigation launched in London this year as bloodshed continues to plague the UK.The teenager was set to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court later today.
A Met Police statement said: "This follows an incident at an address in North Birkbeck Road, E11 on Wednesday, 6 March. "Police and London Ambulance Service were called at approximately 16:25hrs to reports of a stabbing and found 26-year-old David Steven Martinez-Valencia suffering injuries. He died at the scene."Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room on 020 8345 3734 or call 101 quoting CAD 5145/6Mar."David, a Spanish national, went to school in Valladolid after moving to the city with his family from their native Colombia as a child.
