Reports suggest the aftermath of the incident was live-streamed on social media.
Lorna Woodnutt was discovered at a house in a rural area outside Tullamore, Co Offaly, on Friday. It is understood she suffered horrific injuries to her head.Gardaí said in a statement on Friday they were aware that footage of the killing was on social media, and urged people not to view or share the video, reports the Irish Mirror.
