Greater Manchester Police said he sustained facial injuries and a concussion following the assault. The incident occurred outside the Spindles shopping center in Oldham town center at approximately 12:15 pm on January 15, 2025, but details have only recently been released by the police.
\Police believe the suspect may have been accompanied by another man and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Investigating officers are said to be pursuing several lines of inquiry. In a statement, GMP said: 'Officers are appealing for information following an assault outside Spindles Shopping Centre, Oldham, on Wednesday 15 January 2025 at around 12.15pm. 'It was reported that a 17-year-old man was approached by an unknown man who attacked him, resulting in visible injuries to his face and a concussion. Initial inquiries by officers suggest that the suspect was wearing a black jacket with grey jeans and was possibly with another man. 'Officers investigating this incident have followed up with several lines of inquiry and are now in a position to request the public’s assistance.'
