Teenager battling 'biggest brain tumour' doctors have seen after mum spotted she didn't have growth spurt

A teenager is currently undergoing treatment for the 'biggest brain tumour' doctors have ever seen that was found after her mum noticed she stopped growing.

"Even Faith herself, she is the most beautiful girl you've ever met in your life. She's just got a heart of gold and she would just do anything for anybody. The teenager had also been experiencing a number of headaches. Jane took her to the opticians for a check up where anything sinister was ruled out.

The tumour they discovered is a rare type called cranipharynginoma, which is non-cancerous but can grow back if all of it isn't removed. A date for the teenager's surgery was booked in on June 21, but this was cancelled and rearranged for July 10, a surgery that would last nine hours for Faith. She also contracted meningitis due to the leaks, meaning she'll need to be closely monitored and have regular hospital appointments going forward. Every three months, Faith will undergo a MRI scan and if the tumour has regrown, she'll need daily proton beam therapy for six weeks.
