Anthony Dodson was knifed in chest after fighting broke out in Safe House nightclub
Anthony Dodson was knifed in the chest on Peter Street amid fighting in the early hours of December 27 last year, which is believed to have broken out in the Safe House nightclub on Victoria Street. The 21-year-old was initially taken to hospital in a critical condition having suffered stab wounds to the heart, and was subsequently said to have been "on the right track".
A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Liverpool Crown Court this morning, Monday, after being charged with two counts of wounding with intent against Mr Dodson and a second man - Kia Robinson. Appearing via video link wearing a white shirt and tie, he spoke to confirm his name and date of birth before pleading not guilty to both charges.
Lee Duffy, Jordan Kinsella, Eugene Mason-Lamb and George Miller all deny wounding with intent against Mr Dodson. The former has also pleaded not guilty to the same charge against another man, Alex Murphy, as well as possession of a bladed article, namely a knife, in a public place. Three others have also been charged over the altercation. Twenty-year-old Milne Critchley, of Sprucewood Close in Anfield, 21-year-old Adam Draper, of St David's Road in Huyton and 21-year-old Cameron Quinn, of Swanside Avenue in Huyton, are accused of violent disorder.
