The woman had thought the 17-year-old was joking when he approached her on Glasgow Green and she laughed.Depute fiscal Brogan Moffat told the court of the events of August 1 last year.Ms Moffat said it was around 4.30pm when the teen went up to the woman and stated:"Declare your name."Still thinking the boy was joking, she said back:"Go for it," and laughed.The teenager, from Carntyne, then walked away and sat with a group of youths.
His victim went to the police and told them what had happened and that there was a person with a knife in the park.Cops identified him quickly afterwards and he was cautioned and charged and taken to London Road police station."There was no intention of causing any damage but we have a situation where he shouldn't have had the item in the first place whatsoever."
