They will appear in court next month
Three teenagers are due to appear in court next month after being charged with burglary at a Nottingham school. Nottinghamshire police says they were first called to Wells Academy in Mapperley during the half-term break on February 14 earlier this year.
Staff had reported that a classroom had been broken into. The police officers attended the school again the following day after intruders once again gained access to the site and cause damage. They analysed the Ransom Drive school's CCTV footage and carried out other local inquiries following the incidents. This led them to arrest the three boys - one aged 15 and two aged 16 - who cannot be named for legal reasons.
Chief Inspector Mike Ebbins, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "We have been working alongside the school since the break-in, so I’m pleased these three suspects have now been charged and given a court date."
