Bandai Namco has surprised fans by confirming that, although he had been presumed dead, the legendary Heihachi Mishima is heading to Tekken 8 in the game's upcoming DLC.

Canonically, Heihachi Mishima believed to be dead after falling to his son, Kazuya, in Tekken 7, so it'll be interesting to see how Bandai goes about bringing the fan favorite back to life. In a recent interview with IGN, Tekken 8 executive producer Katsuhiro Harada said that Bandai Namco planned to kill off Heihachi in Tekken 7, as they wanted to 'show that kind of final conclusion, and he seemed to die at that point.
