The Telford charity hopes to open the signal box up to visitors if they get permission to rebuild.
The steam railway hopes to rebuild the signal box as it would have looked before it was demolishedMany of the original bricks have been reclaimed to rebuild the Horsehay and Dawley box on the Telford Steam Railway, staff from the railway said.
Paul Sanderson, from the railway, said he wanted to "simulate as near as possible what it would have looked like".
