Record-breaking low temperature in North Yorkshire
A temperature of -9.4C was recorded at Topcliffe, which is about five miles south-west of Thirsk in North Yorkshire. The temperature in Topcliffe is the lowest November temperature anywhere in England since 2010, according to a local weatherman.
There is currently a yellow weather warning for large swathes of the country, including Yorkshire, for snow and ice.
