“It remains to be seen whether Matthijs de Ligt will come, I know him well," Ten Hag told Dutch news outlet AD back in July. “I wanted to sign him two years ago but, at that time, he was already very far along to join Bayern.” Now that United know that Yoro will be unavailable until early November, it remains to be seen if the club will step up their interest in De Ligt before the transfer window closes.
