Six things renters need to know ahead of eviction ban ending on Sunday
Now that the ban is ending , landlords will have to give tenants six months notice if they wish to evict renters.
The charity is calling for reforms that give judges more discretion to allow tenants to stay in their homes.If you're a private tenant, a landlord can ask you to move out by issuing a Section 21 or Section 8 notice. It’s "really important" to know where you are in that process, said Amy Hughes, housing expert at Citizens Advice.
Explain the effect that coronavirus has had on your household and income and ask if they'll accept reduced payments, or let you pay back arrears at a rate you can afford.
