The lone dog walker, who visited Alexandra Park with her two furry friends on Sunday (October 20) evening is warning other women to 'please be vigilant' after a man was seen behaving 'strangely'.
A woman has issued a stark warning after being followed by a "strange" man at a park in the east end during broad daylight, which left her frightened for her safety.
Standing two feet behind her, he is said to have muttered something under his breath which alarmed the dog walker. Each time she nervously turned around to see him, the man - described as white, of medium build and in his 40s to 50s - would just stop and stare.READ MORE: Glasgow British Airways flight declares emergency over city after onboard incident
"Women tend to get a gut feeling of when they are possibly in danger. There was a sense of menace. I felt like he bore me some kind of ill will and I was very aware that I was completely alone, besides my dogs and I felt vulnerable. The terrified woman picked up her pace before bumping into another dog walker - a woman - who had also been approached by the man said to be wearing a forest green jacket, jeans and smoking. Both women began speaking to each other when they noticed he "ran behind a tree to hide."They left the park together and contacted Police Scotland on 101. The dog walker, who wishes to remain anonymous, is a regular at Alexandra Park and has never felt "unsafe" before.
