Children attending a training session at Youthsport in Omagh ran for their lives and hid in bushes as masked gunmen opened fire on DCI John Caldwell on Wednesday night.

These kids have no idea, they have just seen a gunmen shoot at one of their coaches.Ricky condemned those who planned and carried out the attack on a coach who had been giving up his time to volunteer with the local club.
“He’s no different to the accountant at the local rugby club or the doctor at the local GAA club giving up their time. Paying tribute to DCI Caldwell, Ricky said he had met with him just hours before he was attacked, to talk about new funding for the club.
