Data exclusively obtained by Glasgow Live shows that as of October 11, there were 1085 warrants outstanding for crimes such as attempted murder, rape, domestic abuse and terrorism

A terror suspect is among hundreds of people wanted by police in connection with various crimes across Lanarkshire.

Currently one person is wanted in connection with a murder, one with terrorism, and two wanted for firearms offences with a further 21 for offensive weapons.Other crimes include domestic abuse , child abandonment , child cruelty , fire raising , drugs - supply/use , bail offences and breach of the peace .

“All arrest warrants are prioritised according to risk and we will use dedicated resources and intelligence techniques to pursue and locate those who pose the greatest risk of harm and threat to our communities. "SNP Government neglect has already resulted in a loss of skills and experience, while leaving the service stretched dangerously thin. The Scottish Police Federation are warning of a 'public safety crisis'. SNP Ministers must finally heed the concerns of officers before it is too late."
