The Portuguese full-back won two Premier League titles with City after joining for £60m in 2019, so his exit makes himCity have announced his exit with this very short statement: ‘Joao Cancelo has joined Bayern Munich on loan until the end of the season.
‘The Portuguese has now moved to Germany to join the Bundesliga outfit for the remainder of the 2022/23 campaign.’ Bayern Munich have held a longstanding interest in the player and have agreed a loan deal with an option to buy for £61.55m in the summer, which would represent good business for City for a player who will then be 29.
