Supermarket giant Tesco has made a significant move to improve its online shopping service by introducing earlier same-day delivery slots. This allows customers to receive their groceries up to four hours sooner than before, providing greater flexibility and convenience.
Tesco has significantly enhanced its online grocery delivery service, offering customers the convenience of same-day delivery slots up to four hours earlier than any other major retailer. Previously, Tesco 's same-day delivery slots were limited to 7pm to 11pm. However, the retailer has now expanded its delivery window to 1pm to 11pm, providing customers with significantly more flexibility to receive their groceries.
This change also extends to Tesco's Click+Collect service, which has been brought forward from 4pm to 8pm to 12pm to 8pm. The new, earlier delivery slots will be available at over 400 Tesco stores across the UK. Tom Denyard, Tesco's Online managing director, stated, 'We are excited to have rolled out more same-day opportunities for customers to get an online slot, offering customers more spaces – and therefore more flexibility – than ever before. This allows them to book closer to their delivery or collection time and therefore improve our market-leading customer experience.' Booking these earlier slots is a seamless process, utilizing the same online platform as before. Customers simply need to place their order (or make any necessary amendments) by 8:45am on the same day to be eligible for the new time slots. The cost of same-day delivery remains unchanged. There is an additional £2 charge for home delivery and £1 for Click+Collect. However, customers subscribed to the Anytime Delivery Saver or Click+Collect Delivery Saver plans will continue to enjoy same-day delivery slots at no extra cost. Off Peak and Pay As You Go customers will need to pay the applicable slot price.
