The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has resumed the conduct of its Overseas Assessment Program for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. | ManilaBulletin
In a statement, the agency said that they made the move after President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.’s call to upskill workers and diversify their skills.
According to TESDA Director General Suharto T. Mangudadatu, the program provides free assessment services where OFWs can validate and certify their competencies acquired through prior training or work experience. The Overseas Assessment Program will be implemented with the help of the Department of Migrant Workers through its Migrant Workers Office and the Overseas Workers and Welfare Administration .
