The Biden administration's temporary ban on new permits will 'annihilate critical jobs,' Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says.
Texas, Lousiana and 14 other states have joined in a lawsuit challenging the Biden administration’s suspension of new permits to export liquefied natural gas via ocean-going tankers. The suit filed Thursday against President Joe Biden and the U.S. Department of Energy in Louisiana federal court asks a judge to overturn the temporary pause, which was announced in late January.

LNG is gas that has been super-cooled to make it liquid so it can be loaded onto tankers and shipped around the world.
