Pedro Martinez, 31, was charged with murder in the Jan. 21 death of Dylan King, 26, Denton police said in a news release. According to the release, officers responded to a call of an unconscious person in the 500 block of Inman Street, where they found King dead. Officers later determined King had died from a combination of a cocaine and fentanyl overdose, the release said. Police learned King had allegedly obtained the drugs from Martinez, his co-worker, the release said.jail on April 24 on unrelated drug charges. Police interviewed him in jail, where he admitted to selling King the drugs and knowing the drugs were laced with fentanyl, the release said.
Officers obtained a warrant for the murder charge Tuesday. Martinez’s bond for the murder charge was not set as of Tuesday night.
