The debut of the 2025 Toyota 4Runner is finally upon us, rounding out the automaker’s reworked 4x4 lineup. The fan-favorite SUV will come to the market with nine trim levels to choose from, including a new overlanding-focused Trailhunter model. Here’s everything you need to know about the most hardcore crawler to ever wear the 4Runner nameplate.
2025 Toyota 4Runner Trailhunter Off-Road HardwareThe Trailhuter is also bolstered by a suite of off-road hardware, with Toyota looking to well-respected names in the 4x4 space for help. ARB supplies a set of Old Man Emu 2.5-inch forged shocks, complete with external piggyback reservoirs in the rear. Toyota pairs the shocks with a set of 33-inch Toyo Open Country A/T tires, lifting the SUV by two inches up front and one and a half inches in the rear when compared to lesser trims.
