Specifically, it was the first Air Jordan to be designed by sneaker deity Tinker Hatfield; the first to feature a midsole Air window, a design feature espoused from the technology-driven Air Max line; and, most notably, the first to swap out the wings emblem emblazoned on the AJ1 and AJ2 for the now-iconic Jumpman trademark. Therefore, owning a pair of the Air Jordan 3s in the OG ‘fire red’ colourway means owning a piece of sports and sneaker history.
