A 101 things are sitting outside on a prominent Liverpool street and I’m not even speaking figuratively. The items, from what I can see, have no correlation to each other.
The Aladdin’s cave of treasures has been selling unique pieces from all over the world to the people of Liverpool for more than 40 years now. Despite this, and walking past the business every day to and from work, I only ventured past the front-door for the first time this week. At the end of it, stands a slightly-worrying slanted shelf of CDs. I dismiss the row of album titles glaring at me and it seems I’m not the only one as heaps of dust have gathered between the ridges of the plastic.
It was clear other customers were regulars in comparison to me, a first-timer. The black cat approached them with its diagonal gait as if it had been waiting all day to do so.
