Despite an interesting premise and a talented cast, including Justice Smith and David Alan Grier, this lightweight social satire can't get out of its own way

Morpheus was undoubtedly a self-sacrificing guide to Neo. but it was Morpheus’ confidence, the weight of respect his character’s presence inspired throughout the film’s world.
