When we reviewed Cirque Du Soleil's Ovo at the AO Arena, we were in for a surprise

Last night Manchester's AO Arena was 'infested with insects, and it may just have been one of the most beautiful spectacles I've ever seen. So beautiful, in fact, I'm tempted to go back tonight.

OVO featured most of the performances the world has come to know and love from Cirque Du Soleil, and as ever, they were all done with such perfection. There's aerial silk, trapeze, contortion, acrobatics, dance, diabalo, straps, hand balancing and Russian Cradle, to name but a few of the things you can expect from the world-renowned circus group.

The noises which come out of the little creatures are akin to playing a game of the Sims, which gave me and my friend a little chuckle. You won't understand a word they're saying - but that's the beauty of it, you don't need to. A giant egg may not sound like the stuff of theatre dreams, but let me tell you, it is, and we were mezmerised from the start. It really made the audience feel as though we were tiny insects, and part of the world we were watching on stage.
