A running list of very nice timepieces released by the historic brand
Montblanc’s marketing team won’t like the Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph 43mm Meisterstück 100 Years Limited Edition being called “the fountain pen watch”, but they’ll perhaps understand why. The brand is known for its luxury writing instruments, particularly the Meisterstück, and has fused elements of it into a watch to mark the pen’s centennial.
The watch case material, the CARBO₂, is created using a pioneering process development that captures CO₂ from biogas production and mineral wastes from recycling factories. Reinforcing the theme of adventure, the 43.5 mm case totally devoid of oxygen comes with an engraved luminous blue outline of the Mont Blanc Mountain on the side while a 3D colored laser engraving of the Mont Blanc mountain adorns the titanium case back. The timepiece is powered by the MB 29.
