Later this month, a partial lunar eclipse may be visible from Northern Ireland , and we have put together a guide to some of the best spots you could witness it from.
On September 18, the partial eclipse will be visible between around 1.41am and 5.47am. To get the best view from Northern Ireland, find a dark spot and aim to view the spectacle between 3.12 am and 4.15am, with the maximum eclipse appearing at 3.44am. Mussenden Temple and Downhill Demesne, Co Derry The temple sits on a cliff edge overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, offering unobstructed views to the west. It's also a dark sky area, which reduces light pollution. Accessible by car, with a short walk from the parking area to the temple.
