Yes, there are concerns about whether this tired and sometimes directionless government can win a fourth term in office at the October 2024 election.in 2015, 2017 and 2020 – isn’t as popular as she used to be. He sang from the same hymn sheet as his boss about “keeping Queenslanders safe” through its draconian closed border regime, but he often answered questions with a slightly annoying grin – which is why he earned the nickname “Giggles”.During the pandemic, Miles was moved off health and into state development, infrastructure, local government and planning. Miles looked a bit crestfallen at the time, because it was like being dropped to second division in the English Premier League.
A senior ALP powerbroker said internal party polling showed Palaszczuk is still popular with Queenslanders. Palaszczuk has another thing in her favour – the much-lower profile of state Opposition Leader David Crisafulli. She believes she still is popular with Queensland voters – urging any journalist to follow her on her next trip to Emerald or Townsville to prove it.
