Actress Trudie Goodwin became a familiar face to viewers as she starred in The Bill as June Ackland in 1981, the 71 year old was recently spotted 40 years on after the show started

Trudie Goodwin who played Sergeant June Ackland on The Bill has been spotted on a walk near her home.

“I don't regret my decision to stay for so long for a second. But it's time to move on,” she said, before adding her hopes for the future. Away from her acting career, the soap star has been married to husband Kit Jackson since 1979 and the pair have two adult children together called Jessica and Elly.
