Amazon Prime Video series 'The Boys' added an update to the Season 4 finale episode following the July 13 assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. The July 18 episode of the superhero show added a disclaimer to its beginning, noting 'viewer discretion advised.' “This episode contains scenes of fictional political violence. Any similarities to recent events are completely coincidental and unintentional,' the statement read.
“Amazon, Sony Pictures Television and the producers of ‘The Boys’ reject, in the strongest terms, real-world violence of any kind.” The title of the episode also appeared to have been changed. The episode's title was previously reported to have been 'Assassination Run,' but now shows as 'Season Four Finale' on the streaming platform. Amazon did not immediately respond to a request for additional comment from TODAY.
