Just days away from its Season 4 premiere, showrunner Eric Kripke announced that The Boys Season 5 will be the final season.
Kripke took to social media on Tuesday to confirm that Season 5 would be the final entry in the Prime Video adaptation. According to the showrunner, the fifth season has always been when he wanted to end the show, but he just had to wait a bit before he could confirm the news.Kripke also said he was excited to bring the story to “a gory, epic, moist climax.”

Based on the comic book series created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys is created and executive produced by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke. Besides Urban and Starr, the next season will also feature the return of Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Nathan Mitchell, Claudia Doumit, Colby Minifie, Simon Pegg, and Cameron Crovetti.
