Simona Ceple's brainchild started from a spare bedroom and has grown and grown

The woman behind an Arnold furniture business that sells items with minor defects and at discounted prices has explained how she helps customers create a 'home from home'. .

The goods are from bigger suppliers or some failed deliveries and the 'imperfections' are barely noticeable, she said.Ms Ceple, who has a degree in graphic design from Nottingham Trent University, said: “I love this job, I help customers give personal touches to their homes and get to ask them their stories. Whether they’re moving into their first home or renovating, it’s exciting for them - there are so many situations they can have and it’s exciting for me to help.

“Some people will say: ‘oh I can come at 7pm, that’s good because I finish work at 6pm’. A lot of other furniture shops close at around 5pm.” She said added: “I grew up around my parents owning businesses and, hopefully, I can inspire my two girls. Supporting small and independent businesses is important.
